&lt;span style="text-decoration:underline"&gt;Risk&lt;/span&gt;. &lt;/span&gt;

&lt;p style="text-align:left" align=left&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12pt;font-weight:normal;text-decoration:none"&gt;Directions: the players decide how often they want an
event to occur during the course of the game (ex: once every other turn). When
an event happens one person rolls all five dice and notes the sum of all five
dice. Look for the sum on the table below to determine what event occurs and
use the random territories table to determine what territory is affected unless
otherwise noted in the event instructions. Follow the instructions that follow
for that event on the next few pages.&lt;/span&gt;

&lt;p style=""&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Meteor strike (small):&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;

&lt;p style=""&gt;-use random ocean/land tables

&lt;p style=""&gt;-hits water: all territories around
that body of water lose half of their armies rounded up.

&lt;p&gt;-hits land: epicenter territory loses 3/4 of its
armies rounded up. All adjacent territories lose ¼ of their armies rounded up.

&lt;p&gt;-if
battlefield nuclear weapons are in play, and there is one in any of the
territories affected that territory loses all armies instead and all adjacent
territories lose half of there armies. If a BNW is in the epicenter terr. Then
double the range of the effects. Doesn’t come into effect if meteor hits water.

&lt;p&gt;-territories
that lose all of its armies become wastelands. Any armies there lose 1 army
each turn (Each turn means one army is lost during anybodies turn). 

&lt;p style=""&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Meteor strike (Large):&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;

&lt;p style=""&gt;-use random ocean/land tables

&lt;p&gt;-hits

&lt;p style=""&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Super volcanic eruption:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;

&lt;p style=""&gt;-territory affected loses all but
one of its armies.

&lt;p style=""&gt;-may not attack into or out of
territory until start of next event.

&lt;p style=""&gt;-all other territories in the same
continent lose 2 armies.

&lt;p style=""&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Volcanic eruption:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;

&lt;p style=""&gt;-roll 1 die and add 4. That is the
number of troops lost in territory.

&lt;p style=""&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Tsunami (ocean wide):&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;

&lt;p style=""&gt;-roll for random ocean.

&lt;p style=""&gt;-all territories surrounding that
ocean lose 1/4 th of their armies rounded up

&lt;p style=""&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Tsunami:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;

&lt;p&gt;-if random territory comes up with a territory that
doesn’t border an ocean then nothing happens

&lt;p&gt;-roll 1 die and add 3. That is the number of troops
lost in territory.

&lt;p style=""&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Rebellion:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;

&lt;p&gt;-troops in affected territory must fight a certain
number of armies that are rebelling against them. The rebellion gets the attack
die and attack to the last army. You get the defense die. If rebellion wins,
then the territory becomes neutral.&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;

&lt;p style=""&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Terrorist attack:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;

&lt;p&gt;-each player rolls a dice. The player with the
highest roll gets to choose the territory to be affected. Roll 1 die and add 3
to determine the number of armies lost in territory. 

&lt;p style=""&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Desertion:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;

&lt;p style=""&gt;-roll 1 die to determine number of
armies lost in territory.

&lt;p&gt;-for
every turn afterward until the next event, or number of armies lost equals zero
(whichever comes first), territory loses armies equal in number to the number
lost last turn minus 2.

&lt;p style=""&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Plague:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;

&lt;p&gt;-at
the start of the next turn territory loses half of its armies and at the start
of the second turn it loses ¼ of its armies.&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;/span&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;-if infected territory is attacked or attacks
before the start of the second turn, attacking or attacked territory is also
infected with the plague and starts losing troops at the start of the next
turn. The attacked or attacks rule applies to this newly infected territory as
well.&lt;/span&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;-once a territory has been infected it cannot
be infected again by the same plague event. It can be infected if a different
plague event is the cause.&lt;/span&gt;

&lt;p style=""&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Civil war:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;-troops in territory affected face off
against an equal number of enemy troops. Each side&lt;span style=""&gt;         &lt;/span&gt;has only two dice to fight with and
ties go to neither side. Neither side will have an advantage so if one side
rolls one die than the other rolls one. Each side fights to the last man. If
the enemy side wins then territory becomes neutral.&lt;/span&gt;

&lt;h1&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12pt"&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration:underline"&gt;Traders&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/h1&gt;

&lt;p style=""&gt;-after finding the territory
affected everyone except the territory’s owner rolls a die. The player with the
highest roll gets to take control of the territory as well as all the troops in
the territory.

&lt;h2 style="text-decoration:underline"&gt;&lt;font size=3&gt;Economic depression&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;-each player rolls a die. Player that has the lowest roll is
the player affected.

&lt;p&gt;-all territories
owned by the affected player lose ¼ of their armies rounded up dew to the
inability to pay for them.

&lt;h3 style="text-decoration:underline"&gt;&lt;font size=3&gt;Wildfire&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;p style=""&gt;-roll one die and add 1. That is the
number of troops lost in territory.

&lt;p style=""&gt;-cannot attack into or out of
territory until start of next event.

&lt;p style=""&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Very strong event:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;

&lt;p&gt;-reroll
for event then double the number of armies lost, event includes the territories
adjacent to it, and attack ban stays in effect until event after next

&lt;p&gt;-if
reroll comes up with traders, civil war, terrorist attack, rebellion, plague,
Tsunami, Tsunami (ocean wide), or meteor strike. Roll for two territories for
them. Effects are as normal for these events only.

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Once
in 100 million years event:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;

&lt;p style=""&gt;-Reroll for event then
triple the number of armies lost, event includes the territories two out from
target territory, and attack ban stays in effect until second event after next.
